Old World Ruggedness, New World Grace

 ”When I turned my mind to creating this first design for the new Lone Wolf Media Apparel line, I wanted to create an image that blended both the vintage and the modern working cowgirl together.  The same spirit is found in both, and it is most certainly kept alive and well by today’s cowgirls. The working cowgirl was, and is the genesis of this current resurgence of cowgirl fashion and attitude, mainly because she founded the timeless character traits that make it so unique- independence, ability, tenacity, individuality, allure, and strength with femininity.  I try to infuse the cowgirls in my drawings with these traits, which can be exemplified by everything from their expression and pose, to the cut of their clothing. I believe the popularity of cowgirl fashion today is indicative of women reaching to embrace these traits, and that is what I hope I can encourage through my artwork.”
